Aramaic Presence Doesn’t Mean Late Date?

The following is an article that seeks to show, based upon the work of Avi Hurvitz, that Aramaic influences upon the Hebrew text doesn’t indicate a later date for the text. This doesn’t disprove that the texts weren’t written later but rather shows that later dates shouldn’t be fully based upon an Aramaic influence upon the Hebrew. There are other reasons like geography and that Hebrew may have replaced early Aramaisms in the text (i.e. the root רמה in Exodus 15:1Open Link in New Window). It is a facinating read that I recommend. I’m interested in reading the rest of Hurvitz’s work having read this summary.
