BCS Rankings
I have to say that the BCS rankings are absolutely horrible again in terms of my favorite team, MU Tigers. Somehow KU, who is undefeated and has beaten their opponents rather handedly (except Colorado this past Saturday), is ninth and MU is only thirteenth. However if one were to compare things like, I don’t know, strength of schedule…MU’s so far is tougher than KU’s. If one looks at how MU has fared against ranked teams, MU is 2-1, where as KU is 1-0. How is a team who hasn’t played any teams ranked higher than a team that has played three? I don’t get that. Someone might say that KU beat a K-State team who beat a #7 Texas and became #24. If you want to play that game, MU beat Illinois who beat #5 Wisconsin. How does this work? MU just demolished #24 Texas Tech, who had one of the best offenses in the country, 41-10!
After beating CU (who did beat Oklahoma and nearly lost to MU and Iowa State the last two weeks) 19-14, I would concede KU a spot in the top fifteen, but not ninth. I just think it is very retarded that you can play an extremely weak schedule and be in the top ten. Next year, MU should just schedule a ridiculously easy season so that they can be an untested team ranked ninth in the nation. It apparently works for KU.
