I just finished reading both the graphic novel and novel of the upcoming Lucas Arts release, Star Wars: The Force Unleashed, due out on 9-16-08. In my deep excitement to play this game, here is a trailor to the game. It certainly whets my appetite.

By the way, the story line for this game is going to be really good. I am hoping the graphics and the game play deliver like I think they will.

MK vs DCU E3 Demo

This past Saturday night was the season opening Saturday for College Football and the University of Missouri’s #6 ranked team. They continued their fun rivalry with the University of Illinois and the Missouri/Illinois Border War. The teams assembled at the home of the St. Louis Rams and battled the game out. Mizzou’s offense proved to be just too much for Illinois despite how good they were, MU winning 52-42. The Mizzou defense showed some mistakes in the the second half that really looked more like mistakes that can be corrected because it was the first game rather than a lack of talent that can’t be fixed. Here are some highlights of the game, pay close attention to TE Chase Coffman (#45) at the 4:00 mark and you will see his Touchdown and then an athletic move that will make your jaw drop–that’s about 4:10 mark.

The kind folks at IGN.com have put together a list of 10 things that need to be done when Warner Bros. reboot the Superman franchise sometime in the near future. Let me be frank first and say that I m one of the three people who actually liked Superman Returns. It was a classic Superman movie that really followed in the footsteps of the 1970’s original film. But in my opinion, that was its fatal flaw, and the little boy who is Superman’s son and Superman apparently is a naughty boy–he must really stand up for the “American way”! However I love the scene where Superman and Lois are hovering above the earth midway through the movie and the conversation they have. That and the mega-nods to the Messianic nature of Superman and how much he embodies Christ. I find the following list to be a good list and Warner Bros. should heed this advice.

1. A Worthy Set of Villains
2. An Actor Who Can Embody Superman and Clark Kent
3. A Willingness to Diverge From Past Projects
4. A Healthy Respect For What Came Before
5. Maturity Without Being “Dark”
6. No More Super Kid!

I agree with 1, 5,6,7, 9, 10 the most, most notably 6 and 10. John Williams wrote the perfect tune in the Superman March and he needs to come back to the project for another film. Just take a listen:

Here is a demo to the Mortal Kombat vs DC Universe video game due out in November. I am just so pumped about it and can’t wait to take Superman and tear it up. Enjoy some of the cool features that this game boasts of having.

That answers the question of how the DC heroes can operate in a game called “Mortal Kombat” without actually killing anyone.

Here is a review of the proposed script of a possible Green Lantern movie. Reading this article gets me excited about this movie and I hope that it gets green-lit. I’d like to see what they would do with the Green Lantern because it sounds like the writers aren’t going to screw him up just to make him more marketable. It sounds like they get the character–who will be Hal Jordan. Some other notable points is that Clark Kent and Guy Gardner will both be in this movie, and candidates for the power ring that were passed over in favor of Hal Jordan.

It also makes me want to watch a Nova movie too. Marvel, if GL does will, it might be a good idea for you to look into a script like for the Human Rocket.

I have not read the Batman RIP story arc, as much as I have wanted to. I will probably get that graphic novel because from this IGN article, Bruce Wayne isn’t going to be Batman for very much longer. My pick for the mantle is Dick Grayson, formerly known as Robin and now known as Nightwing. While it may seem that this smacks of “Death of Captain America” I don’t care. If Batman is a symbol, then who is wearing the cape and cowl shouldn’t matter as much. Plus, this will really allow Batman to grow as a character. But hey, I don’t know much other than Bucky is an awesome Captain America!!!!
