Some Things of Interest

First is this video by James White where he interacts with Dr. Jerry Vines’ argumentation about πᾶς ὁ πιστεύων meaning not “everyone who believes” but rather “all can believe.”

Here is a post at Ancient Hebrew Poetry where John argues that Dynamic Equivalent translations shouldn’t be seen as the only translation philosophy. Formal Equivalents such as the NRSV and the ESV are able to do things that the NLT (1 and 2) and the T/NIV cannot do. Therefore if a person cannot read the original languages, s/he needs to use both translation philosophies.
