Think Wink.

1 Chronicles 16:27

The Blogosphere

For one such as myself, relatively new to blogging, to see how far a single idea can spread on the internet baffles me. I have been blogging since September 2006, this is now my fifth month. I was and am not trying to write the greatest posts to see how widely read I could be. I am simply trying to take what is in my head and get it out.

I really have begun to see just how fast an idea can spread around the internet and blogosphere. My idea to solve the great issue of which translation method to use when reading the Bible, dynamic vs. formal, is that Sunday School should be a place in which a basic understanding of the Greek, Hebrew, and Aramaic could be taught to the people of the church and free resources made available to supplement the saint.

The ESV Bible blog found my post and put it on their own site. I like the ESV but this was not something I expected, to be read and quoted by ESV.org. But the site did put me on their. Well because of that, two more sites have picked up the post: Two Tack Thoughts and tohu va bohu. Not to mention two more authors have commented on my post as well.
In all reality, I was never really prepared for this to happen to me particularly. I knew it happened all of the time and in part I was hoping to have some readership. I am just amazed how quickly this happened. I am excited by it and hope that I can keep generating ideas that will catch people’s attention and cause them to think here at “Think Wink.”
