Thoughts on the Endings of Kings and Chronicles
Andrew at The Reformed Reader offers some interesting thoughts on what the endings of the books of the Kings and the book of Chronicles were trying to accomplish. Kings wants to show who is the true Judean King where as Chronicles is showing who is the true Judean. Both place the answer in Babylon, both king Jehoiachin and the people who went into exile there, are said to be the answer. Andrew’s thoughts are very interesting, especially for “thinking out loud” and not really doing a lot of heavy duty research into the topic. Enjoy.

Hey – thanks for the plug; I’m glad to hear my typed-out-thoughts weren’t too incoherent! [grin!]
Blessings!
