Total Depravity is Totally Biblical

Travis Carden has posted a Total Depravity Verse List where he collects the massive biblical foundation for the doctrine of total depravity/inability which he aptly and correctly defines as,

all men, as a consequence of the Fall, are born morally corrupt, enslaved to sin, at enmity with God, and unable to please Him or even of themselves to turn to Christ for salvation. (Thus the necessity of a gracious, unconditional election.) Here is a sweeping survey of the biblical support for the doctrine.

I am really impressed by this list of verses and they are very solid texts to support this doctrine. If anyone wishes to investigate the “T” in TULIP and the biblical support of the doctrine, this post is the place to go (One could also go to DesiringGod.org and look up John Piper’s .pdf of his lectures on TULIP as well as listen/watch the lectures).
